BLACKHOLE BlackHole is a mobile app that uses smart, AI-assisted filters to clean up unwanted emails and provide users with a focused inbox. By bringing one of SaneBox’s brand core features to mobile, this project helps clients prioritize the important stuff and boost their productivity.

CHALLENGE Busy professionals often deal with cluttered inboxes, which can make it easy to miss important messages and slows down productivity. With SaneBox’s reputation in smart email management, the challenge was to bring that same efficiency to mobile with the BlackHole app. The goal was a smooth, easy experience that lets users quickly divert non-essential emails and keep their focus on what really matters.

SOLUTION I crafted the mobile app by focusing on two core features: dynamic data dashboard and a newsletter training function, which could be used with either a multi-select list or a swipe-style (Tinder-like) card system. For the visual direction, I went for a clean, minimal design inspired by space and astronomical black holes. The client is very satisfied with the result and now wants to move all of the SaneBox’s services into one, unified mobile experience.

MY ROLE I led the product design for the app and built the design system for it. I also ran design workshops and oversaw the visual look of the brand.
