CHALLENGE HELM’s existing website and booking system were outdated and lacked the user-friendly experience. Customers found it difficult to browse yachts, check availability and customize their trips, which lead to drop-offs and extra manual inquiries. To fix this, company needed a new, connected system consisting of new website and two web apps - one for people looking to charter yachts and another for brokers to manage inquiries, offers and payments.
SOLUTION My team mapped out the existing systems, built a new structure, and designed a complete package with a smooth UX and elegant, modern UI. Key features include advanced yacht search with easy-to-use filters, both automated and manual booking options, a detailed yacht page with real-time availability, and simple forms for quotes and inquiries. The design also focuses on storytelling, showcasing stunning destinations and unique experiences to help drive conversion. The client saw surge in the bookings after the redesign and invested additional fundings into further development of the platform.
MY ROLE I led the product design for customer-facing web app and developed the design system for it. I also helped as a supporting designer on website and broker web app, led design workshops, and oversaw the visual direction of the brand.
